Meandering thought about NYE/the New Year

Today, social media seems to be inundated with people celebrating their year. But that’s not reality. The year for me, like many, has been full of both great highs and also inevitable lows. I lost one of my closest friends to suicide, I (somehow) graduated thanks to the Uni being immensely supportive and rearranging one of my exams so I could attend Nat’s funeral and graduate on time, became and Aunty again, and so much more. What I’m trying to say is that nothing is ever perfect; life is far from perfect. But that, in a way, is what makes it special. I will not wish you all a happy new year, simply a new year of good health and the strength to continue and survive. 💕
